The two are set as the characters within the story of the design to create a subliminal atmosphere of the passion and exuberance of those days, and the artistic chaos of modernization, where Japanese and Western influences, past and future, are mixed together. The design aims to be a new base connecting Sapporo's past and future and to contribute to the further development of the region.
