29 Consult Now Hire NowThe project is located in the Hakata terminal building, a historic gateway for international exchange and a major multimodal hub. The spatial composition centers on serving local seafood in Donburi as a medium to communicate the city's cultural context. Traditional crafts, materials, and artisanal techniques are deliberately integrated with lighting as parallel elements, forming a framework of depth and calmness. Shadow reveals material depth. The design articulates the relationship between space and food, redefining everyday dining as a cultural interface grounded in Japanese sensibility.

The project was a reconstruction of the 140 years old reception hall, which was one of the facilities of the Buddhist temple Kouunji. The old reception hall had been loved by the local community for a long period; however, due to its severe damage over the years, it needed to go through reconstruction. The architect solved these issues by updating and harmonizing, also devising some systems to pass on the memory of local community to the next generation. As a result, not only did the new reception hall achieve a sense of nostalgia but also a presence in the historical context.

This architecture is a four-unit rental apartment for single person households in central Tokyo. It was designed based on the Japanese philosophy of Chisoku. And it was designed with bare concrete frame that maximize the limit of the site, and also with wooden booths where minimum living facilities and appliances were hidden inside. As a result, a freely space with a height of 3.5 meters was created. The residents use this blank space as an opportunity to enjoy their lives and to use it to collaborate with the local community. The project was designed to capture this blank space.

Tsukiji Sushiiwa Tsukijiten was design in Tsukiji Tokyo, neighbor of former central fish market. Since sushi is now a days known as a world wide cuisine, The goal of this project was to design a sophisticated space which can be passed on to the future, a place where people can enjoy chef's traditional skills and sushi etiquette of Edomae sushi. The essence of Edomae sushi is to maximize the potential of fresh seafood through minimal hand work by the chef. Therefore focused on designing the sushi counter, so that the fresh seafood and chef's skills will stand out.
