Dcl Chair by Álvaro Wolmer
Dcl Chair
Dcl Chair
The inspiration was a chair study made by Cesare Leonardi, an Italian architect and designer. Leonardi's chair was nothing more than a wooden model and was not developed nor produced. The DCL chair is entirely made of Hdf, all pieces cut in a Cnc router, and painted with a bright solid color, any color, and looks like, when spotted, almost not a chair but a sort of a cubic block of solid massive color. DCL means Dopo Cesare Leonardi: After Cesare Leonardi.

Bengalas Walking Sticks
The walking sticks are made to perfection of best quality red or white oak. Handles can have a C shape or a T shape. Walking sticks for men have a diameter of 25 mm; walking sticks for women are a little slimmer: 22 mm of diameter. The oak is FSC certified. All the handles of the walking sticks are reinforced with jacaranda paulista (Machaerium villosum), a Brazilian native wood. The walking sticks are finished, basically, with tung oil. The replaceable tips are made of aluminum and laminated rubber.

Depois de Waldemar Cordeiro Lamp by Álvaro Wolmer
Depois de Waldemar Cordeiro Lamp
Depois de Waldemar Cordeiro Lamp
In c.1955 a Brazilian artist designed and made a lamp to illuminate a garden landscape designed by him. There is only a single register of the lamp: a small piece of journal with its photograph. That was the starting point to recreate the lamp and the light effect produced by it: from a single source of light, due to internal reflections and the different distances from the source to the white rings, a 4W LED lamp can create a range of shades, varying from dark gray to pure white.

Cadeira Chair by Álvaro Wolmer

Cadeira Chair
This piece of furniture is more than a chair, it's also a collection of samples of 34 wooden species, from Brazil and all over the world; it's a chair one can learn about the diversity of this natural resource. The chair itself answers a question that the designer has been frequently asked in the last 35 years: Which wood is this? It's a comfortable chair that same people just sit down and some people read the names and start a conversation about wood.
