View Profile Consult Now Hire NowThe office is located in the central of modern city but surrounded by the natural green. Elements such as sunshine, greenery and stream were regarded as inspiration. Based on the concept of sharing, the idea of design was strung together with full-openness, privacy, and anti-interference. White terrazzo floor was applied as a drawing paper to carry the lives and designs, and black mirror imitated the water surface to open up the definition of the visual space. The stairs were decorated as floating islands and contour lines, inviting the visitors to reach each floor and space.

Paying homage to the Buddha’s perfect enlightenment, the guiding lights for this project were calmness, simplicity, and openness. Wood element adorned with three dimensional structures, creating a sense of consistency and depth. The untamed lines that run through every panel of wood can be compared to a fingerprint each one unique from the next, as if handcrafted by Mother Nature herself. The earthy colour palette and materials reveal the elegance that lies in simplicity and brings a timeless character to the space, also blurs the lines between the home and natural environment.

Sunshine outlined the shadow by the buildings, adorning with the effect of brightness and darkness. As an instructor, sunshine guided visitors to explore and feel the interaction between the shadow and light in atmospheres. Configuration of furniture, which arranged island like style, was connecting with the stories of each participant. Just like a gallery, the center became more charming by the crowd. All was perfect due to the composition of different level of aesthetic.

Utilizing natural light, casting shadow and the swaying of bamboo from the external landscape create a space where people can relax both physically and mentally. Sit on the spot and admire the contrasting views of quiet bamboo and the high density urban neighborhood. The view becomes a quiet and alive painting The living room gathers the family together where the soul can feel at ease.

This project observes human interaction and activity with space and explores the concept of a home in the sky. The form and color of each space creates a subtle demarcation of materiality, which reveals as a harmonious coexistence between the typology of a modern apartment alongside that of a warm family home. This project gives inhabitants freedom to customize their own living style, as opposed to large, permanent design which can at times feel clunky and redundant. With the composition of space, materials and furniture, the home merges together as one integrated vitality design narrative.
