Through the maintenance and reshapeing of the existing buildings and spaces, inward construction is adopted for the development. The urban memory, cultural symbols and their underlying logics are retained with modern design techniques, to create an interdependent community of the old and the new, to explore the completion and cooperation between reconstruction and preservation, and to motivate people for critical thinking about things.
