View Profile Consult Now Hire NowArt Shield is a temporary pavilion designed to protect a public statue during winter. The pavilion surrounds the Vorosmarty monument in a central square of Budapest. Instead of the common plastic cover, a translucent structure keeps the monument visible to visitors. The steel frame and birch plywood roof were developed with parametric software, with the steel parts laser cut and welded and the roof shaped by computer controlled machines. A transparent plexiglass facade shields the marble from driving rain. The pavilion can be assembled, dismantled and stored quickly for reuse.
