The project involves a standalone house with a history of over 2 decades. The manifestation of space, through the interpretation of life and emotion, begins to take concrete shape, and through the design of the nature, including space and humanities, the real context of home is revealed on the outside. From the beginning thought process in concept and spirit, the designer analyze the appropriate life experience and attitude to interpret space and humanities.

In order to create a warm and gentle retirement home, uses a combination of natural-toned woodgrain colors, stone grayscale colors, and white base colors. And through linear vocabularies such as light lines, panels, soft furnishings, pre-embedding iron, sealing board, marbles, bevel cutting, and extension, and the arrangement of the natural texture of materials, it brings a more coherent and continuous space experience. With transparent large floor-to-ceiling windows, providing sufficient daylight, and injecting a new atmosphere into the overall space.

With a simple, light, luxury industrial style, it creates a living space with a distinctive interior storage function. The design team uses melanin board with luxurious wood texture and original style concrete boards, with Turkish blue and detailed iron mesh, to add a rough and design vocabulary. In terms of function, the integrated dining space and the bedroom have the storage in order to fulfill the client’s living needs, with a design to create unlimited possibilities under limited space.

In order to meet the different styles of the client, the design team used marble and carbonized steel brushed wood and mosaic light bars or copper bars. The combination of various materials developed the functionality of the space, while at the same time simultaneously combining classical and modern style vocabulary. Make a good use of various kind of stone texture such as the white fish, dragon and phoenix, splash ink, etc., according to different areas with different mosaic methods, and corresponds to the overall dark color tone to create a tasteful house.
