The site, with incomparable views of the city of Barcelona, Montjuic Mountain and the Mediterranean Sea in the background, creates unusual lighting conditions. Avila Offices is a reform of a seven floors office building of approximately 1,100 m2 each, in the 22 district of Barcelona. The reform design was proposed to give the building more open and contemporary spaces. The exterior penetrates into the building, enhancing the feeling of tranquility, well-being, and health. The entrance is dignified: the green wall runs from the facade to the interior inviting the pedestrian to enter the building. The glass walls make the lobby visible from the street. From this transparency, the permeability of these spaces is enhanced.

In the historic center of Barcelona, a dwelling is being renovated in a building built in 1840. It’s placed in the emblematic Escudellers Street, which was a center for the potter guild in the Middle Age. In the rehabilitation, we took into account traditional constructive techniques. The priority has been given to the preservation and restoration of the original building elements which, together with their historical patina, give a clear added value.
