Huafa Jinjiang Manor Residential Development
Huafa Jinjiang Manor is a residential development in Sansheng Town, Jinjiang District, Chengdu, China. The design creates a hidden elevated courtyard within an urban district. Residential spaces are arranged in multiple layers along the central axis of the site, following a natural landform that is high in the north and low in the south. A layered, barracks-style arrangement brings natural light into each unit and keeps a close relationship with the landscape. The site covers 37,303 square meters, with a floor area of 55,955 square meters and 626 residential units.

Zhuhai Shizimen is a mixed-use development located in the Shizimen District of Zhuhai, China. The complex covers a site area of 203,000 square metres and includes an office and hotel tower, a serviced apartment tower, a hotel tower, an exhibition and convention centre, a theatre and an opera house. Zhuhai Centre, the main tower, rises 330 metres and is the tallest building in the city. The design was inspired by the link between the site and the water and by the description of Zhuhai as a city of romance. The convention centre is shaped as a ribbon along the water's edge.

Huafa Hills is a luxury residential development in Zhuhai, China. The project comprises 110 villas and 852 residential units on a site of 213,900 square metres. The villas are three storeys high and the residential towers are seventeen storeys high. The site is surrounded by mountains on three sides, which creates a private setting. The facades follow a contemporary classic French style and are clad mainly in beige granite to blend with the natural surroundings. An extensive water feature and lush greenery form the centre of the master plan.

Funnel-shaped pavilion structures lead to landscaped retail terraces. The facade design follows patterns of traditional Chinese window frames.

The community contains 18 large villas, 53 medium villas and 65 semi-detached villas. The architecture combines southern Chinese and Lingnan styles into a new oriental aesthetic. Classical Suzhou garden elements guide the layout of courtyards, lanes, paths, corridors and bridges. Full-height glass in the duplex living spaces opens the interiors to the surrounding landscape.

The facade uses only two materials, a warm grey marble in rough and smooth textures and antique bronze aluminium panels for decoration and window frames. The result is a calm and consistent exterior. The landscape covers 230,000 square metres and follows a neighbour of flowers concept. Asian plants and trees bring flowers in all four seasons, and the low density plan supports a restful daily life.

The tower volumes are divided into three segments and appear faceted in elevation, which visually reduces the scale of the building and emphasises the vertical form. The towers are positioned to widen views towards the mountains and the city. The design also limits the shadows cast on surrounding buildings.

Dalian Huafa Villa is a sales gallery and show flat in Dalian, China. The design covers a four-story house with a roof garden and a total floor area of 493 square metres. The basement holds an entertainment room, a wine cellar and a bar. A U-shaped staircase and a private elevator connect all levels. The second floor contains a children's room and the third floor the master bedroom with two terraces. Leather wall panels, marble with vertical lighting, gold-toned metal trim and wooden flooring create a warm atmosphere. The circulation follows the idea of a river, drawn from the nearby coast.

Beijing Huafa Mall is a shopping mall in the southwest of Beijing, surrounded by transport links, universities and residential buildings. The building has seven levels above ground and three basement levels. Levels one to three form a retail shopping arcade. Levels four to six hold an indoor retail street with restaurants and outdoor dining terraces. Level seven is a clubhouse for members. Curved shapes and earthy colours are used throughout, and planters on every level create a connection with nature. The design offers the experience of wandering through a flower forest.
