Computer College Exhibition Space by Bennet Marburger
Computer College Exhibition Space
Computer College Exhibition Space
This interior renovation project was commissioned by the College of Computer Science and Technology at Zhejiang University. The college which is celebrating its 40th anniversary wished for spaces to present its history and latest research achievements. So parts of the existing buildings were transformed by the architects into a multi-functional exhibition hall, a conference room and a show room. While the exhibition hall and the conference room have a light design with white metal panels and grey terrazzo, the show room with changing exhibitions follows a dark design scheme.

At Zhejiang University an existing dormitory building was renovated for the Chu Kochen Honors College. The aim of the college was to realise a model project which can be a prototype for upcoming dormitory projects. The building which houses approximately 1,600 students was originally designed exclusively for bedrooms. Within this project several of these rooms were transformed by the architects to create a wide range of additional spaces like lobbies, offices, study rooms and common rooms.
