This house both home and her work place. The challenges with designing this old apartment of three decades comes in the form of height and poor interior management. The maximum height under the beam is 2.13 m which in turn presents an overall vibe of constrain. The modification has given it a new look, giving more space for some sun and additional greenery inside.

This petit space meets the domestic needs of wife and kids while not being any less comfortable for its size. The family connection and the interaction with members is the basis of design ideas. Attempt to maximize every bit of the space based on function and the families' imagination. The upstairs has its height kept at a point so that the 180 cm tall owner can walk around easily. The versatile platform area is essentially where the lives of family members intersect.

The arc motif is expanded into different parts of the house. Starting with an arc-shape cabinet to create an unique traffic flow to promote the overall sense of space. The different heights between the entrance, living room, and the dining room is yet another design cue for a feel of spaciousness. A multi-purpose table is commissioned to work between the study and dining. Some stripped-down french moulding ceiling pattern to provide a sense of layering when looking up.
