View Profile Consult Now Hire NowThe homeowner, a young couple with 4 cats, hopes to use cats as the first-person point of view outside the human space, and take the perspective and feelings of cats as the main body of design. Break away from the general independent and closed pet space design, take the cat's perspective as the design subject, implement the pet-friendly home spirit, respect the freedom and privacy of the cat's life through independent circulation and habitat planning, and open space It becomes an interactive field where cats and humans meet.

This design is done for the residence of a couple and their two grown daughters, and the aim of Luxury from the Heart is to free up more space for the cohabitation of family members. By reallocating the ratio and locations of public and private areas, a Buddhist worship area is set up as the focal point that receives the optimal light source and emits calming energy. The furniture and decorations are configured artistically to imbue the space with a Shangri-La-esque atmosphere.

The future has yet to come, but through this design, the designer constructs an outline for the future of the homeowners life in this space. Using nothing more than frame like light strips to create virtual partitions, this project is filled with visual effects of suspended space, as seen in sci-fi movies. Moreover, a rotatable sofa is the pivot, giving the space more flexibility.

In this case, the designer tries to convert a large beam crossing the apartment, and even reach out to the beam easily, into unique features in the space. The designer weakens the stiffness of the structure and extend the upward vision of the space. Both sides of the beam are covered with large zebra wood with titanium-plated metal at the bottom.

The primitive ambiance of the indoor space is kept. Dismantle all the walls and bare the basic structure of concrete and brick walls naturally. The entrance is built with glass and iron pieces to visually extend the outdoor and indoor space. After the door is opened, there is a corridor paved in a special way with the wood pattern tiles to connect the front and backfields. Some plants are grown in the seams of the walls, which has the spirit of returning to nature and the metaphor for rebirth. The old warehouse is given a new life.

The project hopes to combine the undulations and staggering of the multi-layer space under the structure of only 43 square meters of space and the maximization of functional requirements, guiding the space to connect with the functions of the dressing room, studio, and reading area in front of the bed, and maintain ample natural lighting.
