This project is about an 30 years old unit reforming to a brand new home for a single man and a cat, therefore designer decide to managed the three bedrooms into one room with additional open space used as the study area, and redesign the movement of the owner to make it extended, using the maximum spatial usage as the element to take off the cumbersome lines or colors, stay outside the framework for materials, shape or function, and respond to the emotional interaction with family.

With female unique self-cultivation and delicate creation, the designer manifests the house owner’s gentle but persistent character trait through transforming the textures and lines. Through profession and tenderness, the viewers witness the context of space and life. By means of arranging the textures in order and extending the chroma of the gray scale, the designer creates the graceful image of glory and strengthens the elegant order with fluency.

It is a quite old duplex mountain villa and be removed from its old structure and deepened its horizontal and vertical line, which aims to probe the field relationship between the surroundings and transparency and builds multi layer cubism, whose successive and gradual proceeding is in harmony with the nature. The pointing of the dining room ceiling is dealt with wood veneer and baking paint in a forward, extending way, which encircles and highlights the structure of sloped roof.
