View Profile Consult Now Hire NowThe Inspiration of this pendant design is to combine a traditional Chinese Yin-Yang philosophy with a minimal surface form factor, so that it visually achieves a three dimensional modern sculpture. The sub inspiration comes from an old Chinese saying that metal and water mutually benefits each other. The ripple like pattern is applied on the concave areas, which represents water. The gold material itself represents metal. Thus, that is what Chinese called "Jin Shui Xiang Sheng".

The sexagenary cycle has never been expressed in such a dynamic installment before. What we normally see is a huge disc-like calendar that lists up all the sixty, co-related, combinations between the Stem and the Branch Families, which can never be considered portable. This might also be the reason why it is difficult for young generations to get in touch with this abstract concept, as a result, This culture is diminishing. The motivation behind this design is to make people understand the logic of how Stem and Brand work collaboratively and promote this culture to the whole world.
