The Jasmine flower being a key ingredient in the Alexander McQueen Eau de Parfum product launch, of which blooms only in the night time, is the distinctive and essential inspiration. The need for creating very delicate ornamental flowers, on a large scale, whilst keeping the manufacture relevant to the brand and their ethos. SLS 3D printing was a very unusual method of production and pushing boundaries in technology within the industry. Using the nylon printing techniques keep the fine details and velveteen texture, replicating the beauty of the Jasmine flower perfectly.

It was a particularly multi-faceted celebration that occurred on May 25 in the world’s most famous department store, Harrods. As the official Timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup™, Hublot beat the drum counting down 20 days to go before the commencement of the FIFA World Cup Russia™. Not only did the brand unveil its new football installation along the iconic Hans Crescent windows and within the Door 5 atrium, but Hublot CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe, also announced that the Brazilian footballer, David Luiz was joining the Hublot family as a Friend of the Brand.

Due to the nature of the subject, the designs were kept loose and free in sketch form only, to ensure not to hinder the production and final outcome of the window installation. To play on the natural behaviour of the horse, imperatively to showcase both the gentle calming nature coupled with the raw power that can be seen in the real life. As the viewer passes the windows they are taken on a journey of the horse galloping through planes and taking solace, retiring at the watering-hole.

"The meaning of the object" was the brief. Taking inspiration from a very banal, every day object which has a common place and association with the majority audience, the Pencil. Dating back through history and time, the instrument can evoke emotion thinking back olden times, or childhood, colouring books, drawing, note taking, letter writing making it possible for the mass audience to have connection with the window display. Immersing the viewer in the story of the moment.
