View Profile Consult Now Hire NowHotel Kanra Kyoto is established under the mission that all guests KAN - meaning To Experience in Japanese - the spirit of RA - City Of Kyoto - where the beauty, wisdom, and hospitality of Japan are embraced. A former educational facility is converted into a hotel that houses 39 guest rooms, a cafe and shop, 2 restaurants, and a spa. Holding Heritage And Innovation as its concept, this project utilized traditional materials and techniques, including showcasing a workshop of kintsugi masters, and simultaneously proposed new ways of their use in contemporary design.

Hamacho Hotel is the nucleus of an ongoing effort to vitalize the Hamacho area in Eastern Tokyo. Bold visual expressions of "Greenery and Craftsmanship" became the principal design theme, while the development aimed to become a social hub for locals, as well as becoming a destination for diverse hotel guests seeking a new cultural experience and local engagement.

Kyoto Granbell Hotel mixes traditional Japanese techniques with cutting edge ideas and latest technology from all over the world. The result is a chemical reaction that exceeds expectations by providing the guests a moment of surprise as well as comfort. The hotel’s interior design creates various kinds of chain reactions that unfold in the space and in the functions, which in its turn establishes a new and creative “hospitality space.”

The initial opening of the hotel and apartment was in 2011 aiming to become a hub for art and culture of Kyoto. 2016 was its renewal opening year with 67 new guest rooms and more presence of art by collaborating with artists in creating conceptual rooms and adding a production studio for an artist-in-residence program. The hotel theme is Art Fair 365 Days A Year. All art pieces in the hotel are for sale, attracting various kinds of visitors from all over the world.
