At the end of 2015, it was announced that the two districts were to be merged into a new district. To commemorate this event, the government wanted to build a unique installation at the junction of two districts, as a symbol of unity and cooperation. A lighting installation builds an illusion of strings connecting the top of road lighting poles, redefining a new landscape space over Hengfeng Road Bridge at night.
