Woodalls approached this project with a full consultative approach which commenced with challenging questions. All of the furniture was designed to be flexible and modular to allow warm desking. The new space allows people to behave differently. Of significant interest is the Winter Garden and the Grand Hall. The Grand Hall is where lockers are located, but it is so much more, a single span of circulation and meeting space without blocking the wonderful view.The greatest design achievement in this project was a deep deep partnership.

BTS wanted the design to demonstrate their interest and commitment to the fabric of London. So a lot of design influence was garnered from the many faces and regions within the city and the different functions they serve. The 4 times larger enclosed canteen is themed on Camden Town. Broken graphics give the sense of graffiti and a brilliant lighting scheme keeps the mood changing. It was really important that this was properly enclosed so that people can be loud and expressive without having to worry about disturbing others.
