Nissan Fairlady Z Brochure
Fairlady Z is a sports car with stable popularity both in Japan and North America even after nearly 50 has passed from its first release. A new 370Z Heritage Edition is now added to its lineup. This model is a remake of 280Z special decoration package design, which was popular in North America back in 1977, and has contemporary- arranged racing stripes. This brochure is created to feature this special Z without having too many retro-inspired aspects in the creative. Our focus was to present the perspective of modern sports car. The overhead view image on the cover shows the racing stripes.

This brochure is created to introduce this evolved model of Nismo gt3 2018 Spec to the racing drivers who own racing vehicles and participate in amateur racings. This is an emblematic model improved to win races. Its dynamic performance could be represented with a sizzling feeling from a circuit but a cool approach was taken instead.

Mitsubishi Motors changed its brand tagline from drive@earth to Drive your Ambition and unveiled a new model Eclipse Cross as the first release under this new tagline. The Eclipse Cross is a SUV featuring aggressive design symbolizing the tagline. A twist offering people a real experience of Eclipse Cross’ dynamism and presence through a visual perception is added to this brochure. We used a photographer whose area of expertise is to shoot motorsports and pursued reality with one shot. In addition, a QR code offers people a chance to watch short movies showing its strength.

An inspirational approach is taken for fascinating product presentation with an idea to have people to see the evolution level carefully and to make a valuation. Bold layout using the traditional round-shape tail lamp, a symbol of GT-R, is used in the introduction page. When one-side foldout is opened, the vehicle’s powerful main style appears on the nearly 1-meter-long pages. With the black background, the imposing figure of GT-R with the vivid-orange body color stays in people’s mind.

“Balloon artworks” are handmade and inspired by vehicles used for each month. This collaboration between Daisy Balloon (balloon artists team) and Nissan brought an unique and new visual expression of Nissan products. The main challenge was how to combine the robustness and hard edges of a Nissan car to the flexible and smooth appearance of hundreds of balloons of different colours. The final effect is an intriguing imagery with the vehicles’ characteristics being matched by balloon artworks.

Every year Nissan produces a calendar under the theme of its brand tagline “Excitement unlike any other”. The year 2013 version is filled with eye-opening and unique ideas and images as the result of collaboration with a dance-painting artist “ SAORI KANDA”. All the images in the calendar are the works of SAORI KANDA the dance-painting artist. She embodied her inspiration given by Nissan vehicle in her paintings which were directly drawn on a horizont curtain placed in the studio.

A collaboration work with an up-and-coming artist is used for the Nissan calendar every year and a papercut artist “Teppei Hayakawa” was appointed for the 2016 calendar. Paper is used to create two-dimensional papercuts. By contrast, a car is a three-dimensional objet. Merging two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects with creation of existing visual aspect was a creative challenge. This brochure was developed under a concept of introducing the product as well as offering new perspectives (being positive about everything) which moms can obtain with DAYZ ROOX.

The all-new SKYLINE has no NISSAN logos anywhere, either with the exterior or the interior. Only Infiniti logo. The car maintains its name as SKYLINE, synonymous with the sport sedan representing Japanese cars for a long time. However, this vehicle is to be introduced as a new SKYLINE under Infiniti brand in Japan. We aimed to realize the worldview of a premium sport sedan only the made-in-Japan vehicle could provide, being different from the glamorous worldview of Infiniti brand or the European taste of BMW, Audi and Mercedes.

Each year Nissan produces a calendar under the theme of its brand tagline “Excitement unlike any other.” The year 2014 version is an innovative one, featuring “Nicolai Bergmann” who is a renowned floral design artist in Japan. All visual images used in the calendar include flower arrangements Nicolai Bergmann created based on inspirations he received from Nissan vehicles featured in the calendar. The spaces, in which “cars” and “flower arrangements” coexist, are the works of art themselves. We have taken photos of those spaces and placed the images throughout the 13-month calendar.

・Harley-Davidson must establish a good relationship with the young adult segment, or males and females age 18-34 with low engagement with the Harley-Davidson brand, in order to gain market share into the future. ・The STREET 750 is a new model offering the riding experience unique to Harley-Davidson motorcyles in urban terrain as opposed to the open road. Its pricing is surprisingly low for the Harley-Davidson brand, under 900,000 JPY, which represents the company’s seriousness towards the young adult target segment.
