Eighty furniture pieces as “contemporary interpretations of traditional Omani design” have been created especially for the project using the patterns and architectural details found in doorframes, ancient ceilings, and traditional chests in order to generate a complete furniture line adapted to luxury resort standards.

Located on a 6,6 Ha cliff edge plot at 2,000m above sea level, with a built-up area of 24,000m² including 115 keys, six restaurants and lounges, a spa and recreation facilities. The sense of drama and beauty is heightened by the play of light and shade, the texture of the natural materials, rustling vegetation, and the sound of flowing water. The designer configures visitors’ experience in sequences in order to arouse distinctive emotions inspired by the view, the architecture, and the landscape.

Consisting of Pastry shop and café in ground floor and Gastronomic restaurant in first floor. The design is inspired by the packaging ribbons of cake boxes; the architect created a double skin facade of an intense white, light and see-through; thus, providing to glazed interior spaces a protection from direct sun rays. The horizontal blades which envelop the 3 main facades rotate at 90 degrees depending on intimacy and sun orientation. During the night, a dynamic lighting composed of about a hundred of Led ribbons animate the facade with color changing scenarios.

extending the urban dynamic of the city while providing a relaxing and original ambiance. Lotfi Sidirahal started with the layout design before looking for the aesthetic DNA. He first tried to repeal the separation between bathroom and bedroom, drawing on a classical item of the eastern Arab language: the Moucharabieh screen. He turned it as a design statement in the room. The sliding screen cuts a white modern monolithic bloc, creating an atypical contrast.
