A family with four adults approached the architect, having a generous site with an astounding view and with the idea of building a modern and cozy house. The house was built with fluid spaces, with generous lighting and crossed ventilation, with rooms that could be easily integrated or isolated to be used together or independently changing unity and privacy as needed.

The Design was made for a family: the mother, her two married sons, her daughter-in-law and her grandchildren, to serve as a weekend refugee. It is located in a condominium in the outskirts of the city, surrounded by an ecological reserve. The mountains are the main attraction of the site, with all private and social areas developed in one single level, facing the beautiful view. The verandas of these premises are turned to a grassy courtyard where the swimming pool with a deck, a douche, a water mirror and a cascade is located.

The building was designed to visible impact on the area it´s in. With a combination of new and traditional materials, wide gardens and cutting edge technology both in design and physical, the emporium is a pinnacle of efficiency and social impact on the area. The local people help to tend to the gardens and people all around the town come to buy the products products and enjoy the scenery.

David Guerra’s design displays an open, functional layout, and a rich mix of textures and colors. Natural materials, such as wood and leather, have a strong presence in the space, and contrast with the dark gray of walls and the different shades of yellow, green and blue of the furniture and artwork. Simple design strategies, such as sliding doors and shared surfaces, facilitate the integration of dining, living, kitchen, and bedroom areas, while offering privacy when desired.
