Joao Faria drew the Lazy Day Collection in 2014, but he only launched it in 2020. The armchairs and sofas' designs are original, edgy and sophisticated, with two slightly different versions: Classic and Modern. The most remarkable feature is the rounded back, made with carefully book matched wood veneers. In November 2020, Interior Design Magazine featured this sofa as a statement seat.

Mikado Residential furniture by João Faria
Mikado Residential furniture
Mikado Residential furniture
Mikado hides the complexity of its construction and the art to make it functional. Tubes of different metals are cut in angles and fit with accuracy in the furniture providing the much-needed support. The theme is repeated in a delicate design on the top surface of the object, combining different types of wood and metals. This furniture line consists of a dining table, a display case, a grand table, a side table and a nightstand. Although it is a residential line of furniture, it has also been thought to be used in commercial facilities, mainly the display case and the grand table objects.

Emotional Object #020: "Gift wrap" Coffee table by João Faria
Emotional Object #020: "Gift wrap" Coffee table
Emotional Object #020: "Gift wrap" Coffee table
Gift wrap is a simple coffee table. Inspired in a box of chocolates, the table, which can be made in five different kinds of wood or super clear glass, relies on a structure of stainless steel (polished or brushed) for an effortless support. This structure comes in two variations: A ribbon around a volume (1st movement) or corners (2nd movement) which was a lucky variations found on its design development. Simple design, clean table, bold statement.

Emotional Object # 018: Excentric Office furniture by João Faria
Emotional Object # 018: Excentric Office furniture
Emotional Object # 018: Excentric Office furniture
ExCentric is not just another line of office furniture. This line conveys a sense of imbalance, unsettled, gravity defiant. Volumes and they supporting structure are deliberately misaligned, provoking the user, hopefully making him smile...The reaction is priceless. Watching the people looking to the desk, trying to understand what is in front of them and suddenly smiling is clearly what is expected and rewarding. Composed by the essential elements for an office, this line can be incorporated with some technologies like a computer, personal WiFi or bluetooth, keeping the workplace clean.

Emotional Object #010 Roots Coffee table by João Faria
Emotional Object #010 Roots Coffee table
Emotional Object #010 Roots Coffee table
Roots is not just a coffee table. It's a piece of nature brought in to the living room. A work of craftsmanship, made by 3rd generation woodworkers who put their long knowledge into this piece. This table re-interprets, in a contemporary design, the roots of the ceiba tree, found in Havana, source of it's inspiration. A line that revolves around a volume intercepting with another surface to make a table. Because nature is the oldest inspiration, this design takes it just a little bit further...
