The five bedroom home is a distinctly modern design letting in light and energy from the outside world to create a seamless sanctuary. From the global first Hydronic heating for the swimming pool to the plant rich Green roof, the house harmonises with its environment collecting rainwater for irrigation while using external automatic window shades to moderate interior temperature. Bespoke, in every element The Boulevarde is an active space designed to enhance daily life.

As the surrounding properties reflected the history of the heritage area, this new house on a vacant block, added to that timeline, by not trying to re create the past, but to forge its place in the present showcasing the best of contemporary design ideas. Eco-design principals were used to create intelligent innovative design of which the heat core storage cell was an Australian first. Many of the systems were custom designed and built specifically for this house, providing innovation not yet tested or seen in Australia.

We were engaged to design and build a contemporary ECO home in the heart of Sydney Australia's heritage listed precinct. Designing every facet of the project from the external facade, green roof, vertical gardens, interiors, fittings and furnishing enabled us to ensure that the philosophy of the design flowed seamlessly throughout every element of the project showcasing the best of contemporary design ideas.

The concept for the landscape design came from the idea of making this modern piece of contemporary architecture with its strong elements of concrete and glass blend into its natural bushland environment by incorporating vegetation on the structure through green roofs and vertical gardens attracting flora and fauna back to the area. As the plants mature the building evolves creating a living piece of modern art.
