View Profile Consult Now Hire NowMaking the Credenza's Gestalt memorable through both material (Bamboo vs Polished Stainless Steel Steel) and formal (Volumeteric vs Linear) contrasts, the credenza is able to absorb the typical haphazard collection of disparate electronic components (remotes, DVD players, cable boxes, game stations and components) surrounding home entertainment while remaining domestic and not overtly 'electronic'. The 'box', which merely sits on its tripod, is made of laminated bamboo plywood, an easily replenishable material, the details take the opportunity to amplify the intrinsic beauty of the laminations

The replacement of an aging kitchen presented an opportunity to take advantage of the unique siting of this house - sitting at the top of a slope with an extensive and wooded rear yard. Overscaled custom windows and sliding doors connect the exterior and interior in this otherwise introverted Victorian house

This table is inspired by the richness and poignancy of the rituals around dining and the frustration that the structure of the typical expanding table often places in the way of these rituals. The apron of the typical table, an untimely discovery of one's knees, is made unnecessary by exploiting the structural integrity of the tabletop. Eliminating the apron not only makes the table more comfortable, it allows for the tabletop to be a more assertively expressive component of the table, accentuating the surface that every gathering has in common.

This sash lock was designed as part of a larger assembly of custom-designed double and triple hung windows. As the contemporary double hung window increases in energy efficiency, its proportions become thinner, yet deeper; its operation smoother and more precise. The design of this Sash Lock takes advantage of these advances and is based on simplicity in operation (one hand), installation (one screw per component) and manufacture (the process of digital 'printing' in Stainless Steel, a process that is efficient when using a minimum of material).
