State Bank India appointed allen international to design six digital branches across India as part of it's programme to provide next generation banking solutions to the growing mobile and internet savvy consumer base. India's largest bank by all metrics has an existing branch network of around 13,00 outlets. The thinking behind the design of the digital branches is part of a drive to develop a sub-brand sbiInTouch, to capture the imagination of Indian youth by offering a more modern and digitally innovative service.

Concept store that houses and provides guidance on it's online, mobile and telephone banking offers. There is no counter - instead customers use in-store computers to complete daily banking transactions eg. setting up orders and viewing statements, with the support of the store's 4-person team. The NBG app is available on iPads and iPhones at the central 'Great Ideas' stands, private booths can be used for internet and phone banking, and touch screens within the Interactive Zone enable visitors to access banking services and play games.
