The lantern shape of the pendant is a modern day style of locket / charm bracelet. It differs from the traditional locket as it displays its symbols and charms on its exterior. Each Lantern pendant is unique as it is created by the wearer. The Lantern pendant allows for the wearer to place a scented wafer within the vessel to enhance and bring pleasure to the wearer.

The 'Naming Spoon' came from a need to offer a modern and popular alternative to the traditional Christening present, of a spoon. I wanted to create a spoon that could be personalized and named as a 'Naming Spoon'. Naming Ceremonies, have increased in popularity in recent times. I wanted to create an object, the 'Naming Spoon', to be given at the Naming Ceremony or Christening Each 'Naming Spoon' is unique and can be personalized with the recipients Birth Stone and initialized and can be presented as an heirloom for the families heritage.

My aim was to create a gemstone using press forming as my method of fabrication, and utilize the product in my historically referenced jewellery designs. The result is a lightweight replica gemstone 'Gemel'. 'Gemel' can be produced in a wide variety of vibrant colours, patterns and sizes. 'Gemel' is lightweight, making it possible for large stone 'Gemel' to be worn as earrings, that are comfortable for the wearer. The use of 'Gemel' gives me the opportunity for a wide range of shapes and colours to be incorporated into my jewellery design.
