The interior covers 1,600 square meters and holds a dining area, a tearoom, a guest room area and an office area. Indoor and outdoor courtyards alternate, so each area stays separate yet connected. Solid wood, tiles, cobblestones, self-leveling cement and wide white textured surfaces create a quiet and bright setting. The floor slab was reinforced with steel plates, and shallow topsoil planting was applied to complete the green coverage.

Yangfu is a private house designed for a family of four generations in Shaoxing, China. The house covers 3400 square meters and combines reception areas, a small private art gallery and living spaces for different ages. A corridor connects the whole house, so the reception and residential areas stay relatively independent. The garden was shaped with built hills, ponds, flowers and trees. Solid wood, copper bars, marble and decorative leather wall panels form the main surfaces, while hand-made wood carving, stone carving and metal forging add traditional detail.
