View Profile Consult Now Hire NowAquaRio's gift shop has 420sqm and was designed by Kube Arquitetura. It's a walkthrough store. Its main displays were inspired by the organic curves of whale's ribs, giving the space a flowing and light movement, and also allowing a flexibility in the mix of products. The "rib" displays allow the products to be revealed little by little, creating levels of intimacy while they walk around. The blue in the beginning of the store makes the visitors want to dive in that space.

The idea behind the project for Mirante Paineiras was to integrate the restaurant with the visitors but also unite it to nature that surrounds the center it's in. Even though the building was not designated as a historic site, Kube decided to keep the original materials as a valorization of the antique construction. The floors and tiles were preserved and the studio designed copper lamps, a wooden counter, black square-lined doors and two wooden trees that bring a sophisticated yet contemporary feeling to the original elements of the space.

The main objective for this project is the creation of a fresh atmosphere, bringing a little bit of nature into the city. This idea is shown through the use of natural textures, elements found in gardens and big cities, such as bricks, demolition wood and metal sheets. For them, there’s no pattern - each store has a different format. The atmosphere is the same, but some details may vary, making sure every store has an exclusive feeling. This store, for instance, has a back wall that resembles grass, being the inserted "nature" of this project.
