TPSurgery Surgery Assistant System
TPSurgery is an interactive surgery assistant system. By the use of Mid-Air gestures, the user is able to adjust the surgery light in a three-dimensional atmosphere as well as controlling the information displayed on the screens. TPSurgery combines a Graphical User Interface with a Tangible User Interface for providing feedback and feedforward to properly control the system.

UMA-P is a smart bike light that will perform different facial expressions and eye movements to the biker according to its own machine personality. Machine personality is a modularized interaction framework named based on the knowledge of emotion intelligence and human personality forming. It allows smart products to have their own interaction style which are gradually influenced by the environment and user habits collaboratively. With the mPersonality UMA-P can provide feedback of usage in an empathic way while enhancing the user experience.

Hugsy is a swaddling blanket, made for use in the neonatal intensive care unit, that simulates and facilitates Kangaroo Mother Care. It reduces the stress experienced by babies during transfer from the incubator to the KMC sessions and back. Hugsy also aids in holding the baby in place on the mother’s chest during a KMC session for more comfort. In the incubator, the Hugsy plays back the mother’s heartbeat while comforting the baby with the mother’s scent.

Hiccup is a toy collection box that helps children collecting their toys in place. When children put a toy into Hiccup, Hiccuo will react immediately with blinking and the sounds of hiccup, which creates more pleasure to children by transforming the traditional way of tidying toys into the process of feeding a pet. By the evening, a small flower will appear from Hiccup’s head. Once the user put enough toys into Hiccup (reach the standard weight), the flower will grow into a higher level,from a seedling to a blooming flower, it will take 7 days to complete

HygieneL indoor air monitoring system
People spend 90% of their time indoor. However, the indoor air can be much more polluted than the outdoor. This will lead to sick-building syndrome, which includes asthma and other respiratory diseases. A betterway of showing the overall hygiene level is in demand. HygieneL system is designed for this. It has a shell-like sensor node for deploying. The circuit system is able to detect VOCs, CO2, RH and temperature which can be analysized. What's more, it also contains a visualization system for administrators to monitor the overall hygiene status in a building.
