The apartment was revamped and remodel to let in light with the creation of the air-well. The handrail that was used was of "Peranankan Origin". Peranankan is an ethnic group that stays at the eastern side of Singapore from the beginning of the Independence of the city state (Singapore). Efforts had been made to preserve some of the characteristic features of the old apartment building.
