View Profile Consult Now Hire NowThe site surrounding the existing structure is made up of thick landscape and contoured lands making a very interesting micro- context for the space. As most of regeneration projects do, this project too had a lot of challenges including the existing structure of the space paying homage to the architectural identity of it. The space is mainly has a formal entertainment and sitting area which flows into a more playful informal fun area for the younger generation. The cabinet which encompasses all the functional necessities of the either space acts as a visual division between the two spaces.

This Project is the design of an Architectural office in Ahmedabad. The need of the space was that it combines functions, is dynamic, and provides a creative edge and encourage the users to think of new ideas. The requirements were an interactive studio space, a cabin which can also function as a meeting area and informal meeting space. As the firm is also into product and furniture design the space had to be able to accommodate a display of various designs. The materials used are a very important part of the studio’s philosophy as they believe in a headonistic approach to preservation.

This Project is an extension unit to a Residential Bungalow. It is the epitome of juxtaposition between old and new reflecting the best of both languages of design without overshadowing either of them. The facets of the structure are calibrated in accordance with the movement of sunlight such that the space always gets diffused sunlight. The structure has the versatility to grow with the functions of the users. The use of calm colours and the flexible lighting gives it the feel of a calm space in the day and a dynamic, scintillating lounge area in the night and now a nursery for their child.
